I am a Ph.D. student in Character Animation and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Edinburgh, School of Informatics, Institute of Perception, Action and Behaviour, supervised by Prof. Taku Komura.
I am currently interning as AI Scientist at Electronic Arts in Redwood City, California, formerly at Adobe Research in Seattle, Washington.
Previously, I was researching on evolutionary computation for dexterous and full-body robotic inverse kinematics at the University of Hamburg, Germany, where I also obtained my B.Sc. and M.Sc. with distinction in Informatics.
I am passionate about state-of-the-art technology in graphics, animation and games. My current research focuses on deep learning for real-time character animation and control, and is funded by the Principal's Career Development Ph.D. Scholarship from the University of Edinburgh.
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling the world with my girlfriend, playing DotA2 and cooking fancy food. Occassionally, one can also find me creating video game prototypes and assets for Unity 3D.
